Field events, finally on the scoreboard.
Point any TV, tablet, or monitor at a URL. No hardware purchases. No IT setup. No app store. Results appear within seconds of judging — automatically, on every screen.
Field events are invisible to everyone in the stands
Venues spend tens of thousands on Daktronics hardware for the scoreboard — and it only shows running events. Parents watching from the bleachers have no idea who's leading the shot put. Coaches from visiting schools can't follow their athletes at the long jump pit.
RecordBoard solves this for zero additional hardware cost. Any screen in the venue can show live field event results — just a URL.
Setup in 3 steps
No IT department. No special hardware. No configuration files.
Open the display URL on any screen
Plug a Fire Stick, Chromecast, or laptop into a venue TV. Open a browser. Paste the meet's display URL. Done — it auto-refreshes from now on.
Share the operator URL with your scoreboard operator
The operator logs in once and gets a control panel. One click switches which event is on the display. Everything else is automatic.
Judges record — the display updates
As field event judges record attempts on their devices, results appear on the scoreboard within seconds. No radio calls, no manual refreshes.
Works with any streaming stick, Chromecast, Apple TV, smart TV browser, laptop, or tablet. If it has a browser, it works.
Four display modes
The operator switches modes from their panel. The display updates instantly on every screen showing that URL.
Results
Live standings with current leader, top marks, attempt counts, and full standings for every competitor in the active event.
Start list
Shows who's competing and in what flight — useful before the event starts or during warm-ups so spectators know who to watch for.
Team scores
Running team point totals across all field events so fans and coaches can track the overall meet standings in real time.
Branding
Between events, display the meet name, sponsor logo, and a live clock. Signals production value without any extra setup.
Two URLs. One for display, one for control
The display is public. The operator panel is protected. Anyone can view — only your operator can switch events.
Any screen, no account required
The display URL is fully public. Open it on any TV, tablet, or projector in the venue. Share it in the meet program so parents can follow along on their phones from the stands. No login, no app, no account.
Operator controls, login required
The scoreboard operator logs in once with their RecordBoard account. From there they control which event is on the display, can switch modes, and toggle auto-advance. Fans can never accidentally change the display.
Set it and forget it
Enable auto-advance and the scoreboard cycles through all active field events automatically — no operator needed. Each event gets screen time, in rotation, without anyone touching a keyboard.
The operator can override at any time to lock to a specific event, then re-enable auto-advance when ready.
Shot put results — 45s
Showing 8 athletes, 3 rounds in
Long jump results — 45s
Flight 2 in progress
Team scores — 30s
All field events combined
Auto-advance rotates through every active event automatically
“What platform is running your scoreboard?”
Coaches from visiting schools notice the live field event display. They ask the meet director what's running it. That question becomes a conversation — and often a signup.
Coaches see it. Coaches ask about it
Every invitational where your scoreboard is running is a live demo to dozens of visiting coaches and athletic directors. Many of them are evaluating exactly this problem — field events that nobody in the stands can follow.
The display URL itself is a marketing asset. Put it in the meet program, post it on the facility social, share it before the meet. Parents and fans bookmark it and share it.
Pairs with live streaming
The same RecordBoard setup that drives the venue scoreboard can also feed an OBS overlay for a YouTube or Twitch stream — live field event results on the broadcast, no graphics team required. One phone, one setup, covers the venue and the livestream.
