RecordBoard supports the complete track & field meet: sprints, hurdles, relays, distance, shot put, discus, hammer, javelin, long jump, triple jump, high jump, and pole vault. We cover the full meet experience, not just a subset of events.

What happens if the wifi goes down during a meet?

RecordBoard keeps running. Judges can continue recording attempts — distances, heights, fouls, passes — without any internet connection. All results are stored on the device and sync automatically the moment connectivity returns, with no manual steps required. If you install RecordBoard on your home screen like a native app, it loads instantly even from a cold start with no signal. This is especially important for outdoor throws and jumps areas where stadium wifi and cell coverage are unreliable. You can run a full competition from start to finish without ever needing a stable connection.

Does it work on Android and iOS?

RecordBoard works in the browser on any device — iPhone, Android phone, iPad, Android tablet, or laptop. A native iOS app is also available. Android native app support is on the roadmap.

How do I get started?

Create a free account at recordboard.io/sign-up. From there you can set up your first meet, create a competition, add competitors, and start recording results. No training required — the interface is designed to be intuitive enough to use on meet day.

Can spectators follow along in real time?

Yes. Every competition has a public scoreboard that updates in real time as results are recorded. Spectators can follow from any device without creating an account — just share the link. The scoreboard also displays your meet's custom logo in the header, so every shared link carries your invitational's branding.

Can I add my meet's logo to the scoreboard?

Yes. Upload a custom logo when editing your meet and it appears in three places: the scoreboard header on every public link, the public results page, and full-screen in the Branding display mode — a dedicated view that shows your logo, meet name, location, and a live clock on venue TVs between flights. It's designed for named invitationals that want a polished, professional look.

Can I export results?

Yes. Results can be exported after a competition. We are actively working on additional export formats (including Athletic.net-compatible formats) to make it easier to integrate with meet management systems you may already use.
