Terms of Service

Effective date: March 1, 2026

Agreement

By creating an account or using RecordBoard, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and RecordBoard ("we", "us", or "our").

The service

RecordBoard is a meet management platform for track & field — sprints, hurdles, relays, throws, jumps, and distance events. We provide tools for officials, coaches, and meet directors to manage competitions, record results, and share live scoreboards.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 13 years old to use RecordBoard. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

One person or organization may not create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or unauthorized advertising
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform
  • Scrape or systematically access the platform in a way that burdens our infrastructure
  • Impersonate another person or organization
  • Interfere with other users' use of the platform

Your data

You retain ownership of all meet data, competition results, and competitor information you enter into RecordBoard. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data and will not use it for purposes beyond operating the platform.

Subscriptions and billing

RecordBoard offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Prices are listed on the Pricing page.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion, giving you time to export anything you need.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for losses resulting from planned or unplanned downtime. We will communicate scheduled maintenance in advance when possible.

Intellectual property

The RecordBoard platform, including its design, code, trademarks, and branding, is owned by RecordBoard. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. Use the platform at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RecordBoard shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
