March 2026: Live Scoreboards & Spectator Mode

We shipped live streaming and public spectator scoreboards — plus offline improvements, performance updates, and more.

March 2026: Live Scoreboards & Spectator Mode

This month we shipped a feature coaches and spectators have been asking for since the beginning: live results visible from anywhere, no account required.

What's New

Public Spectator Scoreboard

Every competition now has a public link you can share with coaches, parents, and spectators. The scoreboard updates in real time as attempts are recorded — no refreshing, no waiting for posted results, no account needed.

Share the link in your meet program or post it on the facility scoreboard. Anyone with the link can follow along.

Live Video Streaming

Officials and meet directors can now stream live video from competitions. Viewers join the stream directly from the spectator page — no app download required.

This is especially useful for combined high jump/pole vault pits where spectators can't get close, or for streaming to coaches watching from another event.

Live Event Discovery

The events page now lists all public competitions happening right now. Find a meet near you, or follow a competition you're interested in — all without an account.

Improvements

Offline sync reliability — We fixed a rare edge case where attempts recorded without connectivity weren't syncing correctly on reconnect. If you were hitting this issue, it's resolved.

Performance — The competition run view loads significantly faster on older phones. We profiled and optimized the render path for the attempt buttons and competitor list.

Export improvements — CSV export now includes wind readings and attempt-level detail in addition to final results.

What's Coming

We're working on Athletic.net-compatible result export, which will let you push results directly to Athletic.net without re-entering data. This is the top-requested feature from meet directors.

Android native app support is also in progress — if you've been managing competitions from an Android phone through the browser, a dedicated app is on the way.
