Every RecordBoard meet gets a branded results page — automatically

Public results pages with rich OG image previews are now live for every RecordBoard meet. Share the link. Anyone with a phone can follow along — and every visiting coach sees RecordBoard in action.

When a meet ends and results are posted, a coach from a visiting program usually does one of three things: hunts for a paper sheet, waits for someone to text a photo, or gives up and checks athletic.net the next morning.

RecordBoard adds a fourth option. Every public meet now has a branded results page that looks like this when shared in a group chat.

What every RecordBoard meet gets automatically

Every public meet now generates:

  • A results page at recordboard.io/events/[meet-slug] — showing all competitions, live or completed, with top-3 previews for each event
  • Individual competition pages at recordboard.io/events/[meet-slug]/[competition-slug] — full results for each event with attempt history
  • A 1200×630 OG image for each competition page — competition name, top-3 results with medals, and RecordBoard branding — generated automatically, no configuration required

The OG image is what appears as the preview card when someone shares the link in iMessage, Twitter, Slack, or any platform that reads Open Graph metadata. When a parent texts a results link to a group chat, every phone in that chat shows the preview card before anyone taps through.

No setup. No screenshot. No caption required. The link does the work.

The shareable URL

From your meet dashboard, the results URL for your meet is:

recordboard.io/events/[your-meet-slug]

You can copy it directly from the meet header — look for the Copy link button above your event list.

Anyone who opens the link sees your meet's full results immediately. No account required. No app download prompt. No paywall.

What visiting coaches see

Here's the part that matters for growth.

When you run a meet with RecordBoard, every coach from every competing program receives that link — either from you, from the meet program, or from their own athletes texting it home. When they open it, they see:

  • A clean, real-time results page that updates as competitions finish
  • Per-competition pages with full attempt history, top-3 previews, and live status
  • RecordBoard branding in the OG image and footer

They weren't at your track to see you use RecordBoard. They see the output. That's a better demo than any sales call.

Results that last

Each meet page includes Schema.org SportsEvent structured data. That means search engines can index it properly. When someone searches "[meet name] results" six months from now, the RecordBoard page has a chance to show up.

This isn't the primary use case — the shareable link during and right after the meet is — but it's worth knowing that results from RecordBoard meets have a longer shelf life than a Google Sheet.

For existing users: your completed meets already have pages

If you've already run meets on RecordBoard, your results pages are live now. Go to your meet dashboard, find your meet, and the Copy link button will show you the URL.

Share it in your athletic department group chat. Post it on your program's Instagram. Add it to the meet program for your next invite.

The page is already there. It just needed this announcement.

Social post copy

If you want to share on Twitter/X or Instagram:

This is what parents see when a coach shares the results link from a RecordBoard meet. Competition name. Top-3 finishers with marks. Live in the group chat before anyone's walked back to the bleachers. recordboard.io

Or shorter:

Every RecordBoard meet gets a public results page automatically. Share the link. Anyone with a phone can follow along. No account needed. recordboard.io/events

Questions

The results page is public only for meets where the meet director has enabled public access. If you're a meet director and want your results page active, make sure your meet is set to discoverable in the meet setup tab.
