Spring 2026: RecordBoard Ships Full Meet Day Coverage
From online entry portal to live results to TFRRS export — RecordBoard now handles the complete track & field meet day. Here's everything that shipped.
This is the moment we've been building toward.
In a single sprint, RecordBoard shipped 15 major features that complete the full track & field meet day workflow — from the first coach entry submission to the final TFRRS upload. As of March 2026, no other platform in the US covers this entire workflow in one place.
Spring season is starting now. Here's everything that's ready.
The problem we set out to solve
Ask any meet director what the worst part of their job is. You'll hear some version of the same story: paper flight sheets printed at 5:30am, coaches calling in scratches by text, judges shouting distances across the pit to a kid with a clipboard, results typed into a spreadsheet by hand after the last event finishes at 7pm.
None of this is anyone's fault. It's just what the tooling has forced people to do.
We built RecordBoard to make the whole day digital — not just one piece of it.
What shipped this sprint
Online Entry Portal
Coaches can now submit their athletes and relay teams from any device before meet day. The portal enforces entry limits, handles scratches, and delivers entries directly to the meet director — clean, confirmed, and ready to seed.
No more email threads. No more "did you get my entries?" texts.
Seeding Wizard
The seeding wizard takes confirmed entries and builds flight and heat assignments automatically. Meet directors can drag-and-drop to adjust, handle late scratches, and re-seed in seconds. When it's done, heat sheets export as a PDF — ready to hand to coaches or post to the public URL.
Native Field Event Judge Interface
Field event judges get a dedicated mobile interface for recording throws and jumps. One tap per attempt: Make, Miss, Foul, or Pass. The interface is built for cold hands and loud stadiums — large targets, minimal navigation, no typing.
It works offline. Attempts sync the moment connectivity returns. Judges never have to hold up the event waiting for a signal.
Live Results Scoreboard
Every recorded attempt instantly updates the public scoreboard. Meet directors share a single URL — coaches text it to parents, the announcer pulls it up on a tablet, spectators follow along on their phones. No account required. No app to download.
Standings, attempt history, and team scores update in real time.
Results Export: TFRRS, Athletic.net, and PDF
When the meet ends, results leave RecordBoard in one click. Direct export to TFRRS and Athletic.net means performance data is live on the national databases before athletes leave the parking lot. Print-ready PDF scoresheets give officials the official record without any extra data entry.
For meets using timing systems: FinishLynx file exchange lets operators import start lists and export track results back into RecordBoard.
Multi-Day Meet Support
Invitationals and championships that run over multiple days — Day 1 prelims, Day 2 finals — are now fully supported. Advance athletes between rounds without re-entering anything. Everything stays in one meet record.
The full workflow, end to end
Before the meet:
- Coaches submit entries through the entry portal
- Meet director reviews and confirms entries
- Seeding wizard builds flights and heats
- Heat sheets publish to a public URL and export as PDF
On meet day: 5. Field event judges open the app on their phones 6. One-tap recording for every attempt in every event 7. Live scoreboard updates in real time as results come in 8. Track results sync from FinishLynx
After the meet: 9. Results export to TFRRS and Athletic.net automatically 10. PDF scoresheets generate for the official record
That's the whole day. In one platform.
Who this is for
If you're a meet director currently running paper flight sheets and manual data entry, RecordBoard is built for your situation specifically. You don't need to change everything at once — you can start with the judge interface for one event, or just the live scoreboard, and add the rest when you're ready.
If you're a head coach who wants to stop submitting entries by email and start seeing live results for your athletes in real time, the entry portal and public scoreboard are yours to use at any meet running RecordBoard.
